This page explains how to request deletion of your personal data from Phairo. We take your right to be forgotten seriously. You can request deletion of your account data at any time — no questions asked.
What Data Phairo Holds
When you register and use Phairo, we collect and store the following categories of data:

* GST invoices and financial records may be retained for 7 years as required by Indian tax law (CGST Act, 2017 Section 36). These records are retained in a locked state and are not used for any other purpose.
How to Request Data Deletion
You have three ways to request deletion of your data:
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. Confirm your identity with an OTP on your registered WhatsApp number. Your account and all associated data will be queued for deletion within 24 hours.
Send an email to support@phairo.in with the subject line Data Deletion Request. Include your registered phone number and shop name. We will verify your identity and confirm deletion within 72 hours.
Send the message DELETE MY DATA from your registered WhatsApp number to our support number. Our bot will initiate a verified deletion flow and confirm once complete.
Important: Data deletion is permanent and irreversible. Before requesting deletion, we recommend exporting your billing history, GST data, and inventory records from Settings → Export Data. Deleted data cannot be recovered.
What Happens After You Request Deletion
Facebook / Meta Login Data
If you connected your Phairo account via Facebook Login or any Meta integration, the following applies:
- We only store your name, email address, and Facebook User ID provided by Meta at the time of login.
- We do not store your Facebook password, friends list, or any other Facebook profile data.
- Requesting deletion from Phairo will delete your Phairo account data including the Meta-linked identifiers.
- To revoke Phairo's access to your Facebook account independently, go to Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites → Phairo → Remove.
After your deletion request is completed, we will send a confirmation to your registered email address confirming that your data has been permanently removed from our systems.
Data Not Deleted
The following cannot be deleted even on request:
- Anonymised aggregate data — Sales analytics shared with pharma companies are fully anonymised and cannot be traced back to you. They exist only as aggregate statistics (e.g., "2,400 strips of Metformin sold in Maharashtra in Q1") with no personal identifiers.
- Legally mandated records — GST invoices and financial transactions are retained as required by the CGST Act, 2017.
- Fraud prevention records — If your account was flagged for fraud or abuse, minimal records may be retained for legal proceedings as required by law.
Your Rights Under Indian Data Law
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and applicable Indian regulations, you have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate personal data
- Request erasure of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Withdraw consent for data processing (which will result in account closure)
- Nominate a person to exercise these rights on your behalf
- Raise a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India
